Wet air with salt in it pits plated metal, so door hardware, light fixtures and hose bibs on the unit are stainless or solid brass, and the siding hangs over a drained weather barrier with pan flashing under every window and door. Whether a parcel lies inside the coastal zone has to be checked, and a parcel within it may have to clear coastal approval, or document why it is exempt, before the building permit moves. Reviewers look at setbacks, height, distance from the house and utility routes. We file the set, respond to every correction and book inspections, and the written quote shows the drawing set as one figure with permit fees on a line of their own.
