Where a house has wood siding, wood windows or a raised floor, each gives moisture a place to collect. Rot at sill plates and rim joists shows up as sloping floors or doors that stick. We open the suspect areas, replace damaged framing in sections while the house is supported, and add flashing and sill seal so water does not return. Siding and trim are then patched or replaced to match, and windows can be upgraded during the same work. A whole-house plan can spread that work over phases.
