Fire Rebuild and Reconstruction
After a fire you need a builder who can read the insurance scope, plan the permits and put back a house that is tighter and safer than the one you lost.
Where your rebuild starts
A rebuild can start from a cleared lot or from a house with smoke and partial structural damage. Either way the first step is a site visit and a list of what can stay. A foundation may be reusable after an engineer checks it, and a partly damaged frame may be repairable.
We write the scope so it lines up with your insurance scope line by line, which makes it easier to see what is covered and what is an upgrade.
Building back with ember-resistant details
Rebuilds in many Los Angeles County areas must follow the state wildfire building standards. That means ember-resistant vents, noncombustible or ignition-resistant cladding, tempered glass in certain windows, and enclosed eaves. Stucco and fiber cement cladding meet many of those rules, and they handle coastal weather well too.
Selling instead of rebuilding
Not every owner wants to rebuild. If you would rather sell a fire-damaged property as it is, we have a separate page for that, and a short form that sends the property details to us.
Fire Rebuild & Reconstruction: questions
Yes. We review the adjuster's scope, walk the property, and write our quote in a format that compares line by line, noting anything the scope leaves out.
No. You can change the layout or size during a rebuild. Changes can affect permits and what insurance pays for, so we plan them early and price them separately.
Debris removal, a soil and foundation check, plans and a building permit. We tell you which of these are already done and which are still needed for your lot.
