Panorama City was one of the Valley's first planned postwar communities, laid out with rows of similar tract houses and later filled in with apartment buildings. Most still have aluminum windows that sweat and rattle. We replace them with insulated vinyl, fit secure doors and handle the city permit, house by house or across a whole building.

Planned tract houses

Because the original tract homes were built to a few floor plans, their windows come in a predictable set of sizes. That makes measuring and ordering straightforward, though we still measure every opening, since decades of settling change things. Vinyl units with low-emissivity glass slide into the old frames and keep the stucco intact. A front picture window can be replaced with a fixed pane flanked by sliders or casements for better airflow. Screens are included with every operable window.

Apartment buildings

New windows on an apartment building can cut tenant complaints about heat, drafts and noise. We price per opening and by unit, use a single frame color across the building and schedule work around tenants with written notice. Entry doors to units get solid cores, new weatherstripping and deadbolts. Sliding doors to balconies get new rollers or full replacement where the frames have corroded. We keep hallways and stairs clear during the work and clean each unit before moving to the next.
