Fire-resistant from the start

We design to those rules from the first drawing so plan check goes smoothly. For the existing house, the same upgrades can be added in phases. Clearing gutters, replacing open vents and enclosing eaves are relatively modest jobs that make a real difference, and we price each one separately so an owner can begin with the items that matter most.
Structure and older houses
A raised-floor house benefits from foundation bolting and cripple wall bracing, and both can be added during a larger remodel. Cracks in stucco or slabs are checked by an engineer when they suggest movement. Converting an existing barn or a workshop on a horse property into living space brings setbacks, utilities, septic and fire access into the plan. We look at all of it on the site visit before drawing anything, so the plans reflect the lot as it really is.
