Woodland Hills Remodeling and Outdoor Rooms
Woodland Hills remodeling: shade structures, cooler glazing, additions, ADUs and ember-resistant upgrades where a lot needs them, priced line by line.
Woodland Hills work goes through LADBS, the City of Los Angeles building department. Long, bright afternoons wear on windows, roof edges and wood trim wherever a wall faces the sun, and a sloped lot can add engineering and fire rules. We take on remodels, additions, ADUs and outdoor projects here, choosing glazing, insulation and materials for the heat and for the location of each lot.
Outdoor rooms that stay usable
A backyard in full sun is only comfortable with real shade. Solid patio covers carry fans and lights, while louvered or open pergolas let air move. We set posts on concrete footings, size beams for the span and flash the ledger into the house wall so the cover does not start a leak. Where the patio opens from a family room, we can replace the old slider with a wider door and low-E glass at the same time, so the indoor and outdoor rooms work together. Pool decks and outdoor kitchens can join the same project, priced as their own lines.
Sloped lots and fire rules
A sloped lot needs engineered footings under any addition, and where the fire maps take in the parcel, decks need fire-resistant materials and details. We use vents that resist embers, enclosed eaves and noncombustible cladding where the rules call for them, and we suggest the same upgrades for the rest of the house when it makes sense. Plans go through LADBS with the engineering and fire details shown, and deliveries are scheduled around the street access so neighbors are not boxed in. Retaining walls are drawn by the same engineer.
