Quiet is a feature a partition has to deliver. In a Valley Village suite, a therapist, an accountant or a design team needs a closed door to mean a private room, and that depends on how the wall is built. Stud spacing, insulation, board layers and sealed edges decide what carries through. We specify the wall for the use, then quote it.

Walls that hold a conversation

Sound leaks wherever the wall is thin or open. A partition with insulation in the cavity, two layers of board and acoustic sealant at the perimeter performs far better than a single layer left to the ceiling. Doors need gaskets and a drop seal, and outlets on opposite sides of a wall should not sit back to back. We carry the partition to the deck where privacy matters. The quote lists the build-up of each wall type so you can see where the extra cost goes.

Lighting and control by room

Each room gets lighting suited to its work. Reading and screen tasks do well with even, glare-free light, a consult room may want warm dimming, and a storeroom needs nothing fancy. Occupancy sensors switch lights off in empty rooms, and the energy code often requires them in offices. We plan switching with the furniture layout so a switch is where a hand expects it. Power and data follow the same plan, which keeps cords off the floor and cable runs short. Sound-rated putty pads go behind outlet boxes set in a rated wall.
